These editorial illustrations are meant to capture the core idea of the article, as well as capture the audience's eyes to lure their interest to the subject matter. All of the artworks below are done for Study Breaks Magazine, unless noted otherwise.

Because I can't read the full article in advance, I first try to establish the mood or the attitude of the article. Then I try to think various artistic styles that will best portray the mood of the article. Often I change from graphic to illustrative styles depending on the subject matter. I use illustrator a lot for graphic shapes, but when doing illustrative work I hand draw them all. After brainstorming, then it's all about detail to finish.
